Sundar,

U r absolutely right, Even when i tell some of my friends, my mom or my
wife that ARR is gonna do music for this film, they immediatly say, it
is gonna be dud in BO. i even end up fighting with them. But deep inside
i also have a fear that the film may bomb at BO. All i am saying is that
ARR should carefully choose his movies based on the story and screenplay
and the directors with great view. as you said, that ARR hit movies list
is very very small when compared to his flops. He should not accept the
movies just becoz that they are big names or some relatives to big
names. Jothikrishna (son of AM Ratnam) and now Kalaprabu (son of Thanu)
are examples to this. they got ARR thru their dads but didnt make use of
his great scores.

I guess, whenever the director or producer get ARR for their movies,
they think that they achieved everything and movie is sure gonna be a
hit just becoz his name is there. that is not right. people will love
his music, but may reject the movie outright if there is no story or
screenplay. i even read in some reivews of SK that the director is
getting booed at the end of the movie. if the director puts half of the
hardwork of what ARR does, the movie will become sure hit.

Dir Ameer recently wondered that why ARR is not doing music for some
low budgeted movies? just think if ARR has done music for recent hits
like Subramaniapuram, paruthi veeran, pattiyal, billa (new). Kangal
erandal song from SP has become a great hit after the film got released
and turned out to be a blockbuster just becoz of its screenplay and
treatment by Dir Sasikumar. People first saw the movie, got hooked up by
its presentation, then they appreciated its music and the song kangal
erandal....

When i was driving today, i was listening to the great score of SK on my
truck's CD player, and i couldn't control my disappointment and anger
against dir kalaprabu for not using it to the core.

I watched the movie Enswasa Kaatre for 3 times just for ARR songs and
BGM, even thou it is a dud. i still remember the boos that the movie got
in the theatres. Dir Ravi did this one and Mr. Romeo with ARR. Both of
them bombed at BO on the first day first show.

I still cant't believe how come Dir Bagyaraj, producer Dhanu couldn't
find the flaws of SK when it is being made. I read the first review by
Gops or Vijay saying immediately that the movie will bomb just after
watching it for one time in the premier show. if we have the pulse to
rate the movie is gonna be a hit or dud on the first show, how come the
big guns like bagyaraj, dhanu and even ARR (when he did the BGM)
couldn't identify that.

I hope my friend here will sure understand that i am not saying anything
against our thalaivar ARR, but i m just expressing my views, concerns
and disappointments.

See you all soon

Sath.
