Priyadarshan saying this makes me laugh..

His own Kancheevaram is a story of a poor weaver.. Priyadarshan went on to
exhibit his movie in lot of film festivals... Didnt he sell India's poverty
then? Dont we have rich weavers in our country? When he does its right and
someone from the west does it, he cries foul... Atleast in SDM the guy from the
slum wins his love and life and thats not the case with Kancheevaram

I feel that this is bcoz of jealousy and no other word would describe it
aptly. Its hightime that Indian directors should become more matured and raise
some meaningful comments and reviews..

because its priyadarshan who said it. he is the kind of guy who'd
blatantly rip off a mallu movie without even giving credit to the
original writer/director. and when he was making movies in Kerala, he
used to copy hollywood movies. and now he suddenly started giving
authentic-expert-opinions on other movies ? that sounds really funny.
oh btw, the two movies which earned him critical acclaim few years
back - Virasat and Gardish - where ditto copies of Mani Ratnam's Tevar
Makan and Mallu Movie Kireedam respectively.

sorry.. this is supposed to be an arr forum and looks like the
discussion is going elsewhere :)
