Actually, this mail reminds me of my colleague's kid, who shouted on me wen i
was playing Omana penne ( from vtv). His words were "I Hate this song"... My
first reaction was - i turned red in anger. but the more i thought about it,
the more i understood the reason. He is a small kid. His tastes arent developed
enough to catch the melody or emotions behind the song...
It made me remember another incidence which happened around 16 years ago. With
child like enthusiasm, i made to my grand mother to hear the song
"Chandralekha- (Thiruda-Thiruda/ Chor-Chor)"... and as I was enjoying the song,
she said.. Its more of a noise. good for children. I was really disappointed
but now i understand the reason behind it. It was not of her genre(Obvsly). But
as I wanted to share so, I wanted her to love the song too... funny!
Though both the songs are Example of CLASS in themselves but they were rejected
by some people. and the simple logic behind it is that its not of their taste
or genre... Does it make the songs bad???
The songs continue to inspire so many souls.
For me, ARR is a source of energy which keeps emitting through music.
Sometimes(most of the times) it matches with our frequency and we love that bit
of energy(music). But sometimes it could be out of our bandwidth. Not for us...
but some other soul may catch it and find it absolute bliss.
The whole logic is: if u love it, enjoy it and if it doesnt inspire you, its
not for u... but for somebody else around. Let him enjoy...
Musicians are like sea divers. @ every dive, sometimes they find pears,
sometimes other sea shells and stuff...Enjoy the art... Dnt try to force things
and life would be a bliss...
and Taimur Bhai, I really wonder If u actually read the blog post while
listening to the song... I wonder how come u escaped the magic of Flute,
interludes and other tiny miny beauties of the song...

      Taimur,

Dont you find the interlude atleast good? I mean are you so adamant about not
liking the songs or what. raavan is an experience. Not to be heard or listened
but experienced.

I am not angry at any of the people who dont like the raavan songs. But
saddened that my fellow Rahmaniacs are not enjoying what we are. ARR takes us
to a land of awesomeness with Raavan.

Stop judging the music. Relax your heads. For Christs sake forget Roja and
Thiruda thiruda for once and enjoy Raavan.

I am not telling you guys to listen to it cuz ARR has worked so hard on it. We
arent doing him a favor nor is he.

Just sit back and chill out man. Visualise the songs and experience Raavan.
Trust me, its so godamn awesome.

agree,,i think we just ignore that song,but its a great melody,it remindes me
the classic era of 60,s the compositions of shanker jaikishan,naushad, S.D
burman.
it recalls the beauty of a song ,,aaj sanam mohey ang laga lo,, by S.D burman
from lagendry film guru datt,s PYAASA.

Please read the following only if you are playing the song with GOOD speakers..)

@0:00:
Pahadi beats kinda beginning.. very soothing.. we can actually imagine
dark night which has come to life with golden color around...

@0.14:
Some magic floating around... Flute blows.. like chill in air @ night...
@0.22:
Reena's voice is so polite, and soft... as if a girl is whispering to
herself.. or humming just for herself... just perfect with the beats

...
@1:16
and the flute comes again to create magic...before first interlude. as
if catching the hand of the girl and taking her along with it...
@1:26:
The first interlude is superb Hindustani classical.. The girl is a

classical dancer and she has to express her emotions. As peacock cant
contain itself when clouds come around, this girl also a free bird...
she wants to express all her feelings..When in Good mood, how can an
artist resist expressing
 through his art...
Beautiful flute, tabla along with humming chorus.. and hey flute,
BEAUTIFUL..is the backbone of the interlude...
@:2:02
As the stanza starts, the girl is geting restless as she calls her

beloved to come and kill the darkness of lonlines... Superb use of
Raag....
but somehow i feel, Reena's voice fades towards the end of the stanza.
and I wonder how Shreya would have handled this part...
@2:50

and the Mukhda starts again.......
@ 3.11 to 3:20
but hey.. wats this instrument going @ the background @ 3.11 to 3:20
.. isnt it chinese? I wonder if ARR hears sounds in his head.. This
bit is used so nicely , sounds just perfect...

@3.22
As she sings mukhda again, flute blows like breeze behind...
@3:51
Arr is about to end the song with flute spreading magic with magic
notes .. I really love the notes played by Flute here...
@4:00

All the instruments come along once again.. the
 layers slowly start
disappearing as the songs finally ends to my despair..

but no issues, the next song to be played in my ipod will be the same,
coz the song is on loop :)

Take a Bow ARR and Naveen Sir...
