As some one else mentioned a push fields directly to the email messages form works. No need to create an intermediate/junk table and it's associated workflow.

You however would need to press the Send button on your mail client. Syntax for mailto: mailto:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>?subject=<Beer is better than coke is better than coffee..> Hope this helps..
