Thanks for the input.  It has been awhile since I have worked with the CMDB...
Do I need to add the Date field to all classes if I want the Date field to be
added to all of the classes?  For example:  Would I need to go into the Class
Manager and add the Date field to BMC_AdminDomain, BMC_ApplicationSystem,
BMC_Cluster, BMC_InventoryStorage...  Once I have done this, then I will go
into the Sync Asset UI with CMDB to run the update, then go into the Remedy
Admin to move the field to the correct location.

Does BMC not recommend adding fields to the Base form or is this a known issue?

Thank you again

Bala,

if you need "Date" field in all classes- add the field to Base element...

If you need "Date" to be availble in Computer class only- add the field in
computer class

Adding a field to a base element is not recommened, when you add a field in base
element and want to export the cmdb class definition using cmdbdriver will have
issues.you need to take definition of all the modified classes from Dev server
to Prod server..

When you add a field in cmdb ,running the "syncassetui" will sync the cmdb and
asset forms, so that the newly added fields will be visible on the asset
forms...

DONT ADD ANY FIELDS to ASSET FORMS MANUALLY IN REMEDY ADMINISTRATOR!!!
