If it is a "Related To" relationship then I agree with Matt. It depends on what type of relationship it is. If it is a relationship that closes child tickets there will be a limitation based on the timeout settings within the ars server. As to the number it really depends on how fast your ars server/db server are at processing a request. We ran into a limitation around ~1500 duplicate child tickets. Yours may be more or less depending on the speed of the server. In theory it is unlimited. The relationship is stored on an association table.
