Actually Oracle were rumored to have been pretty high up there as a contender to buy Remedy back when BMC Software bought it from Peregrine.. So I am not surprised that they are rumored to be interested in purchasing BMC Software now. Perhaps their primary interest is Remedy and some of the other BMC monitoring tools that work with Remedy.
