Patrick, Being you are on 7.6.4.is the object you are trying to edit a 'Base' object?....are you in Base mode, or Best Practice mode?....if it's a base object, and you are in Best Practice, in order to change anything you must create an overlay of the object to be able to modify it.or convert it to a Custom object.but that's a different subject altogether.
