I would swear that some version between this one and the first release of 
Ostream Migrator that I used back in the nineties didn't do this.  It does the 
same thing with the Admin Tool Import utility.  Is this a 7.x "feature" of some 
sort?  I've imported objects that retain accurate date info before.
