"…about 2 weeks ago the town of Interlaken rounded up, transported,
and gassed about 75 geese that hung around Deal Lake… Deterrents for
the geese include vegetation, small fences, and the biggest deterrent
is a no-feeding ordinance. Interlaken has done none of these simple
and humane measures."

The solution to this problem is obvious; round them all up and move
them into the Market Street Mission.

In one fell stroke we would rid Interlaken, Loch Arbor and Asbury of
an aesthetic and health problem, gain support from the public for this
dubious development, create local jobs with introduction of a new
industry and provide both the poor and gourmets an interesting new
source of protein.

Hell, with clever marketing, Asbury might one day be known worldwide
for its great goose pate.
