The CArousel House that Maureen was referring to was the wooden
carousel house of 1888. That unique piece of history (literary history
as well) has already been demolished. The bulldozers killed it at 6 AM
about a year or so ago. The 1930 carousel house in the Casino still
lives and there are no plans (to my knowledge) to demolish that one.
Both carousels, however, are long gone.
