Werner is being anal. The 1888 Carousel House in the Palace
Amusements is legitimately referenced as the Carousel in Maureen's
site. Apparently there is an APP article (5/20/2004) which cites
Kushner demanding that the Palace is demolished.
While Kushner, Asbury Partners or any subdeveloper cannot
theoretcially demand that the city do anything, theory is different
than reality. The City has been dancing to the tune played by all of
these for years. Just cometo a council meetingand listen to the
responses from the city when they are asked to save the Baronet.
While these parties cannotdemand anything, they do, and the city
listens.
