Chuck, Since you took the time to look around,
Did you notice that the new curbs are actally BELOW the existing street grade?
This is a huge engineering mistake. The new west edge of Ocean Ave is 2 or 3 feet below
the level of the park
The new east edge is 1 or 2 feet below the Convention Hall side walk.
In all likelyhood all of this will need to be torn out and rebuilt at the proper grades to
account for what is already there. Apparantly no one thought to design this to fit the
existing surroundings.
Did you notice that 21 feet of Sunset Avenue is being removed? The north edge of the park
is being moved toward the BC Hotel. This is the area used for hotel and event parking.
Also the area where trucks using CH will need to travel.
Conplete stupidity, there is absolutely no reason to narrow Sunset Avenue by 21 feet. Just
leave it the way it is !!! Narrower streets are not an asset.

respect, you have a habit of looking at things and just concluding that
"it looks good to me" Do yourself a favor and actually think about what you're looking at in
the larger context.
BTW, do you still think the Weley Lake townhouses are not all identical as you wrote
months ago?

oringally i thought it was headed in the complete opposite direction as to how it was
presnted to us. but things are looking good now. however i am puzzled as to why its only
one way??? maybe because
anyhthing north of convention hall is considered a "park like
setting" no one will really go over that way. and if you live there, youd probably be
entering north beach off 7th ave. (or maybe its 8th)
