Council should hold off on any more land/building being taken.  Kara homes filed today and only a matter of time before more follow or put a stop on projects.  They may finish what was started but there will probably be delays in getting new projects started.

I did not mean bs on the Baronet. Obviously there are forces on the
council that are trying to save it or postpone its demolition (we
want it saved), and you are right that should be encouraged.
However, that being said, the council knows where the hearts and
minds of many in this town lie. Perhaps their hearts lie their as
well; that being, that we have been short changed big time with
regard to this redevelopment. We have a master developer that won;t
get off the pot. Maybe DJ from TCN is right. Maybe it is better if
the waterfront takes a long time and the rest of the city develops
on its own. Maybe, but I and most don;t like it. Asbury Partners has
reneged on its obligations. We gave the council our encouragment on
the dispute resolution and it turned out less than it should. I
learned a long time ago that if you want a raise you have to march
into the boss' office and ask for it. They are not going to think of
it on their own. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.
