Money tossed around is an understatement. $800,000 was spent to build a "water park" next to the Middle School off Bangs Avenue.
That's -- Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars -- for a restroom, a couple of spray heads and a fence that's locked most of the time. All on a plot about 50x50 in size. Public funds no less. $400,000 green acres grant and $400,000 loan that the taxpayers are paying back For that kind of money a self perpetuating trust or endowment could have been set up to take care of recreation in pertpetuety.
