I guess the wisecrack (which I admit I don't get) was a way for you to avoid facing what you said.
Oak asked me about Charlie Wilson's War, and I said I wouldn't go becaue it tries to make a connection between Reagan and 9/11 (how stupid). In response you said nothing happens in a vacuum. I asked you if you believe a connection between Iraq and 9/11. You said tenuous at best (I'd like to hear your explanation of the tenuous connection). Ergo - you admit that some things do happen in a vacuum; they aren't connected. If you still believe the "Nothing happens in a vacuum" theory, then I point out to you that the rise in Global Warming correlates to there being fewer Pirates in the world: http://www.seanbonner.com/blog/archives/001857.php That concludes today's lesson on the difference between "causation" and "correlation." --- In AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com, "dfsavgny" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > --- In AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com, "justifiedright" > <justifiedright@> wrote: > > > >> Then I guess some things happen in a vacuum and are not connected; > > contrary to your original point. > > > > Nice try.
