well google tried to capture the entire advertising world by buying key ad agencies and automating the entire ad buying process across all media - radio, tv, print, net etc.... like Clear Channel tried to control all outlets. Google was trying to automate the ad buying process. Last week, they announced they are closing several offices and more or less eliminating the PRINT ad sales. They still enable a user to go online and buy radio, tv, internet ads. The overall idea to make it easier and cheaper for publishers/distributors of adspace to sell their time or slots.
