Geelani was caught from the cell phone record of the terrorists. It was alleged that he was in touch with them from the comfort of his own house until the last moment conveying the information about proceedings in Parliament from live telecast. All the people were caught very quickly from the cell phone dialed by the terrorists.

But in the court of law, I am sure, the specifics were brought out. The other three convicted at the same time apparently took part in supplying the explosives to the terrorists who stormed the Parliament.
