Yes, I admit my desperation.

I find that there are two major hurdles in selecting true & sincere representative of a constituency, which are :

1. Illeteracy

2. Political influence in deciding the area of the constituencies

Electorates in a constituency can be broadly classified in to two groups :

a) conscientious (Hope i m spelling right) - Cat-I

b) others Cat-II

Even if we see that many cat-I people act against their conscience due to personal gains, illiteracy is still a major hurdle on our way to elect somebody capable. People must be made aware that until & unless they are properly represented, the physical & psychological conditions cannot improve. The problem in todays india is that those who are capable of judging people do not vote and the rest vote without knowing the implications. In this area voluntary organisations can play a major role.

Political leaders influence in deciding the areas to be covered under a constituency keeping in mind their vote banks. If we look at the statistics, it is always 40%/60% (Cat-I Vs.Cat-II) of the total people, who usually vote. Until & unless you put some cat-I people in the political system, the scenario is bound to worsen in the days to come.
