I agree with Bhubon kokaidew when he commented that the scheme of churning out diplomas to RMP with an eye to provide health care to needy rural folks is,in fact, a noble one.I equally agree with his view that there is an urgent need to overhaul or revamp the entire health care system in Assam.We must keep in mind that whenever a government tries to impose something,there will always be stiff resistance,applied by the group concerned.It is a human instinctive behavior.The people will unfailingly find loopholes to scuttle any compulsion.If China's bare-foot doctors or America's nurse practitioners have been a success,why not in Assam? The Sentinel editorial is right when it exclaimed that it is just a wishful thinkiing,given the fact of how the  State machinery functions.Although CM's idea is good,it has clear political insinuation.However,I respectfully beg to differ with the editorial,when it says that it is " downright discriminatory" ( BTW,the edi! tor happe
