Mark, Meant for branching to locations within the same program, relative branching uses no USING, so the answer is "no," if I'm understanding your question correctly. Of course, with a regular, BDDD branch it is possible.
Doug -----Original Message----- From: IBM Mainframe Assembler List [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Mark Boonie Sent: Wednesday, December 16, 2015 11:56 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Reltive branches to outside a control section Is it possible to branch to a location in low storage (say, location x'1234') using a relative-branch instruction where the target is a symbol defined in a DSECT for which a USING is established at location 0? If so, I can't seem to discover the proper incantation. Any ideas? Thanks. - mb The contents of this e-mail are intended for the named addressee only.
