I'm assuming the domain doesn't have an SPF-record (if PTR is missing, it's
for sure that they don't have an SPF-record).

When it then comes to PTR-checking and it finds out it doesn't have a
PTR-record, it might still be a valid mail if the IP would match "v=spf1
a/24 mx/4 -all".

Or do you mean that "v=spf1 a/24 mx/4 -all" is already used for non-SPF'd
domains?
If not, that might be a good idea as well.

In (11.8) PTR and MXA are skipped if SPF had returned "pass".
