When I was asked about the new forums, I welcomed them as an addition - not as an replacement to SF . It is impossible to transfer that valuable legacy and the publicity. Regarding maillists/foren my experience from some working years is, that people who want the most structured approach are often the least structured in their mind.))) To have lots of structured forums and maillist you need lots of structured moderators)). Given the ASSP project where less than 6 people answer questions in a valuable way, I thought the ASSP User maillist was quite nice. Everything in one place, sometimes long threads about new features, sometimes long threads OT, newbies and experienced users could benefit (i thought...). Given that this approachis is not wanted anymore, I see some problems coming out of this change. fritz ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
