I have to agree... I was even unhappy to learn of a second mail list 
(I'm on enough lists as it is)...

While I applaud Kevin and his efforts to create the new forums, I think 
that effort would be better spent working on the wiki and updating the 
FAQ (with links to wiki articles), and simply adding new items to the 
wiki as they come up in the mail list.

Just my humble opinion...
