Andrew, you have completely ignored what has been said on this subject. THAT IS NOT BOTTOM-POSTING - at least, not as it is promoted by its advocates. I AGREE with you, that bottom posting WITHOUT EDITING CONTENT is FAR more irritating than top-posting WITHOUT EDITING CONTENT. > I think your request should be carefully considered, as I have done, > and then explicitly ignored. That's the problem - you have NOT 'considered' anything, you went straight to IGNORE. I posted links explaining precisely what bottom/inline posting is about - and your comments make it plain as day that you couldn't be bothered to read them - which is usually a perfect example of top-poster LAZINESS - except you do trim your quoted text, which removes you from that category, so you're just stubborn... ;) Bottom/inline posting (inline = what you called interleaved) EXPLICITLY means trimming ALL of the unnecessary/irrelevant context, so the ONLY thing you see is the relevant information. One of my biggest peeves is something t hat Kevin pointed out - someone who top-posts in the middle of a bottom-posted thread. As he pointed out, it completely breaks the flow of thought. <sigh> I generally stopped complaining about lazy top-posters long ago, because 99% of them are stubbornly set in their ways - Outlookers, as I call them - and arguing with them is as pointless as trying to explain to a 6 month old why pooping in their pants is nasty, and should be avoided if at all possible. But when I see their non-sensical attempts to rationalize their laziness, I just can't stand by and let those comments stand unaddressed, in the hopes that some newbie might actually learn something from the conversation. -- Best regards, Charles ------------------------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace.
