yes - and it won't start on windows 3.1 and DOS 6.2
I can't really remember - but my anouncement that V2 will possibly run,
but is out of support for Perl 5.10, was somehow in 2010/11
even Perl 5.14 is no longer maintained, Perl 5.20 is anounced, Perl 5.16
will go out of maintainance (IMHO) this year but at least next year

V2 is running fine on Windows 2000 SP4 and Perl 5.12.x.
As long as Perl 5.12.3 or higher could be compiled on any nix-system - it
should also run fine.

It is not easy to switch, for example the latest ASSP v2 wont start on
perl 5.10.1 on debian squeeze (the version before was working fine)
after the latest update and I must downgrade and latest ASSP v1 seems to
be buggy.
Wheezy servers are fine, until ASSP wont start on 5.14
