Hi We have a customer who has a retail chain of stores. They require a PBX at each site with 10-15 IP handsets and integration with 4 existing analog lines <nothing unusual here>. They also have 4 sales desks around each store and at each sales desk they have a credit card processing terminal for cash cards, debit cards, AMEX and other credit cards (EFTPOS). The credit card machines currently dial out via the existing LG PBX by dialing out on the next available analogue line and connecting to the bank then transacting the credit card data. At anyone time there might be 2-3 transaction calls in progress <a maximum transaction calls number>. QUESTION We are not considering sending these calls over the Public Internet. If we use a Digium TDM400P x 2, 1 x TDM2400B or Sangoma A200d with 4 x FXO and 4 x FXS would any of these bridge the outbound call such that the call quality will not affect the performance and the Credit Card machine transaction function?
Should be ok in datamode, but I'd recommend you take a card and test it out. Nothing beats having been there, done that. Thanks
