I tested the Hitachi for a while. It was fairly reliable but it did crash on me once or twice while I was changing a bunch of settings.
One important feature that I liked was it's ability to hop from one AP to another. I tested this at layer 2, and the docs say it can even hop at layer 3 but I didn't test that. There's a momentary interruption when it hops but it's certainly not a huge deal. One nice thing is that asterisk will hang on to your call for a while even when you're out of touch so you can get in an elevator and go down a couple of floors without losing your call altogether.
