Yes, this is true, but there is a limitation on the # of call-forward-busies 
that Bell will allow on regular FL1 lines.  I was made aware of this from 
Norm (I have no idea what your last name is!) at one of the TAUG meetups long 
ago.  This guy's a guru when it comes to the inner workings of Bell, and I 
assume it's because he's dealt with them and VOIP for so long (WELL before 
Asterisk) that it's become second nature to him.

I have personally done this years and years ago with the old "make your BBS 
available in other areas by getting a line in someone's basement who lives 
locally to both exchanges and permanently call-forwarding it to your real #" 
trick.  Norm's assured me that they got wise to that a while ago and have put 
limitations on the number of call-forward-busies.  It's a total software 
limitation.

With Centrex lines you can hookflash and transfer at the CO-side, but that's a 
royal pain in the ass.
