Hi Andrew, I assumed it was just a software configuration with Bell.
But it would be interesting to actually find out for "real". Firstly I don't think Bell have a C/F on Busy/Unanswered So it would have to be an "Always" oh! ...of course another bonus would be that you can still use the line for dialing out.

Have a better one ....

Bell Canada assures me that this is true, but somehow I'm sceptical.

Yes, this is true, but there is a limitation on the # of call-forward-busies that Bell will allow on regular FL1 lines. I was made aware of this from Norm (I have no idea what your last name is!) at one of the TAUG meetups long ago. This guy's a guru when it comes to the inner workings of Bell, and I assume it's because he's dealt with them and VOIP for so long (WELL before Asterisk) that it's become second nature to him.

I have personally done this years and years ago with the old "make your BBS available in other areas by getting a line in someone's basement who lives locally to both exchanges and permanently call-forwarding it to your real #" trick. Norm's assured me that they got wise to that a while ago and have put limitations on the number of call-forward-busies. It's a total software limitation.

With Centrex lines you can hookflash and transfer at the CO-side, but that's a royal pain in the ass.
