The only reason to use uClinux is if the target has no MMU. If which
case, really, toss the phone away for something real.

hot from the press today: http://wiki.openmoko.org/

The build process is a huge pita. It seems 2007 is the year of the new
packager/builders. You'll need SVN, monotone and bitbake.

It is based on www.openembedded.org. It currently runs on the NEO1973,
which will be released in 3 weeks. Today someone reported having ported
it to the HTC Universal: http://scap.linuxtogo.org/

Definitely keep an eye on openmoko / openembedded. Their momentum far
surpasses the GreenPhone.
