What? That's crazy - no idea why it would be $45. Up until last month I had a
Bell landline with call display and it ran me $32.05 per month, with call
display being $8.00 of that (plus taxes).

Now I'm completely on dry DSL with only VoIP so I no longer have to deal with
Bell :-)

OK, so after talking to someone on IRC who said it shouldn't be more
than $26 a month, I thought I'd try calling them back and seeing if
maybe I just got a clueless person. And I did.

The most basic line you can get (in my area) is $26 a month. No CID,
etc... on the line, and $55 installation charge. If I up that to the
smalled bundle, then there is no installation charge, and it's $29.95
a month with CID, directory listing, etc...

So I went with the $29.95 package (since it would take around 13.5
months to make back the $55 installation fee, and I'll more than
likely not be at this location that long).

Interesting about the possibility my DSL service price could drop
since the line is no longer a dry loop. Will have to look into that!

Thanks!
