Paul, for reasons I cannot explain, I've had exactly the same problem on my Aastra Cordless set. Adds to the complication one more variable... that is it automatically puts me on hold when I am in a call. Strangely I can replicate this error on other cordless units... except that this repeats itself ONLY when I use a particular carrier for long distance through IAX trunking. The base units are perfect with no problem.

Do you have your linksys units under the same roof as the Asterisk box itself? Or are they all located in different locations? I'd also like to know your version of * that you are running... and if you wish I can have my Astra phone connected to your * box and see if we experience the exact same issue.

Cheers!
Reza.

Subject: [on-asterisk] SPA922 resume from hold

I've been hit by a wierd buglet:

A customer uses SPA921/922 phones on an Asterisk box. When the place calls
on hold, they can usually retrieve the call by replacing the handset and
hitting the "retrieve" soft button. However, about 1 time out of 3, they
cannot get the soft button to go to "retrieve". On-hook, off-hook,
lather-rinse-repeat, whatever they do they see the call holding but have no
way of getting it back.

This is not a bug in an individual phone -- I've seen it across 6 handsets,
coming and going sporadically.

Has anyone seen anything like this before? Any cures? Ideas about where
to look? The Linksys docs are not very useful (to put it mildly :-)).

paul
