Hey All,
I've seen this issue at two separate locations recently - periodically,
even though the phone has been hung up, the SIP call is still active in
Asterisk and is bridged to a zap channel.
At one location I am using a Sangoma analog card and so a zap channel is
being held open continuously. Eventually more SIP calls do not hang up
and so all zap channels become used and no more in/out calls can be
made. This happens on different SIP extensions to different phone
numbers. Running Asterisk 1.2.21.1
At another site, I have a Sangoma T1 card and once again, even though
the person has hung up on their phone, it will not hang up in Asterisk
and keeps the zap channel in use. Running Asterisk 1.23.
These are freePBX (not Trixbox) systems with Asterisk, Zaptel, etc
compiled from source running in CentOS 4.4 and 4.5 (kernel
2.6.9-42.0.2.ELsmp and 2.6.9-42..ELsmp).
We are not using any external VoIP provider, so purely analog/digital
connections to the outside world.
Has anyone come across this before? Any suggestions to debugging further
or workarounds?
thanks
Martin
