Hello everyone: Not sure if anyone was as crazy as me to try a Linksys WiFi Dongle on an Aastra 480i and 9133i. series. The dongle does not come with a power supply, and requires a separate 5V 2amp external power source.
I've got this working on my Aastra phone set and the device ( plus phone ) has been working FLAWLESSLY for more than a week now non-stop. The bridged connection quality appears to be very strong. The quality of the voice and packet transmission also has been flawless. No drops, clicks, jitter etc. All perfectly fine. We put the wireless router at one corner of the room, and the wifi dongle at the farthest corner. The signal has to go through three rooms and a concrete beam. There is also a couple of metallic white boards. This tells me, the dongle is quite stable and is ideal for an office of 1500 sq feet area to say the least. Cheers!
