Thanks all for your support. The issue was Thomson ST416 in PPPoE mode where it does it's own NAT wouldn't allow the Aastras to register. Putting the modem into passthru mode and letting the gateway do PPPoE made it work. The problem with the provider was they where having some type of stability issues in PPPoE mode. Moving to Rogers solved everything.
