Hi,
 Kind of off topic here.
If I have a asterisk 1.4.1x and freepbx 2.x running in production, how can i
upgrade my asterisk version to latter version(1.4.2x or 1.6, 1.8). I can
upgrade my freepbx super easy in gui to 2.9 . But my asterisk version stays.
Yajie

Hi Steven

When you install PIAF you can choose to compile Asterisk 1.4, 1.6, or 1.8.
The FreePBX which is part of the distro starts with vers. 2.6
and you can upgrade/update these modules to the latest and greatest. PIAF
also comes with Fail2Ban, Webmin and lots of cool stuff.
IMHO it's the quickest way(about an hour) to have a stable a fully
functioning production PBX. (with a GUI)
