Listen to be please. AsteriskNOW _is_ still being developed. We realized we needed major architectural changes for the market and system we were going after, it's as simple as that.
If you want a more detailed description: I have given you _every, single tool_ to be able to update every part of your system. The fact is that I have given you even more freedom besides just conary update. This also means that you are even more up to date that with conary. If you guys would actually submit bug reports, work through them as I fix them (or even better try to contribute a patch for the open source GUI), then we can work forward. P.S. If you would have updated, Rick, every problem you just described would have been fixed. Also, if you would have read the forums, you would have found very simple work arounds for the problems you have described. Thanks for letting me know. I'll wait no longer for a working system, and immediately jump to another distro. I installed asteriskNOW when it was new, and it worked, sorta. I kept running the conary update, hoping the bugs would get worked out, but things just seemed to get worse. My voicemail playback and ivr prompts play extremely slowly and stuttered so as to be unintelligible. The web GUI runs only for about an hour after a reboot, so whenever I want to attempt a configuration change, I have to start by rebooting the box, then I have only an hour to play before the web gui stops responding. I'm disgusted with it, and happy to try another.
