My gui has been stable since I made that change and rebooted the box.
However, the 'fixes' I found on the forum for the slow/choppy audio
playback problem weren't.
I've just downloaded the 1.5 beta, and I hope to be installing it on
another box this afternoon. Fingers crossed...
