I think I figured out why zaptel was erroring in Wanpipe. The Setup script they use just calls make install. In the zaptel.mk file it first builds gendigits and makefw as a hack to get cross compiling to work, then calls make. I wrote a patch for wanpipe/Setup and if it works I will post it. Should know in a few hours..... In the mean time I think I shall entertain myself with my novelty desktop paper weight.
