Thanks for that wealth of information Mark - very helpful! Yes, I had my eye on the domed stickers already ;-). Btw, what rules to you have, if any, to give QoS for voip traffic in m0n0wall? Too bad 0.4.2 voicemail email isn't working but it too shall come. I tweaked my [EMAIL PROTECTED] install to use MSNTP which worked around the various strict spam filters that seemed to cause most problems. Reading the archives it appears that Kristian was using the same approach but has had trouble getting it to compile with the new ulibc based distro. I'll help if I can, but I suspect its non-trivial or he'd have solved it already! (And I'm a few weeks away from having the time to try). Glad someone else likes the appliance box approach also. Personally I like the idea of separating the routing functions from the PBX box. I hate trying to debug something on a box that is also my access to the internet. Otoh, for personal use it starts to get pricey if you use a separate a box for everything (m0n0wall, astlinux, FreeNAS)! Last but not least, for a professional install, I just discovered a USA-sourced rackmount solution for 1-2 soekris or wrap boards: http://www.netgate.com/product_info.php?products_id=369. It appears to be a nice way to mount a 3 ethernet Wrap (m0n0wall) and Soekris 4801 (Asterisk) side by side in a shallow 1u space.
