Hi All

I stopped for a while and read the Archives (well some of it) Amazing
what you can learn if you stop to read long enough ;)

I have been using Asterisk for 2 1/2 years now in a std PC Initially
with a X100p and TDM400p (with FXS module) [The original Development Kit]

I have always had an echo problem , or poor voice quality
I have 3 snom 200 connected using SIP and an SIP VoIP Provider
I accept calls on the X100p and based on routing bridge the call to an
analog phone on the TDM or to IP Phones

I recently got 2 FXO Modules, removed the X100p and now have the TDM400p
with (FXS, spare , FXO , FXO) Still I have quality issues.

I have tried working with ztmonitor and changing the rxgain and txgain
as well as echotraining and echocancel yes , 125 300 900
Nothing results in good quality.

(1) What do most people have as settings for rxgain, txgain etc.. to
control poor audio quality ?
(2) What could be wrong in my case where else can I look

The call has have a hiss, echo or worst sounds like you are 100 feet
underwater talking through your hands it's muffled, not just low volume
but mumblely
no clear sound.

Going to be trying a Net2801 and Soekris board as soon as they arrive,
also getting a Clipcomm CG 410, just waiting for delivery

Any Ideas ?

Thanks All

Barry
