No, you should start over from the base .conf's that AstLinux provides.

The extensions.conf and sip.conf is where you will be spending most  
of your time.  (Assuming you want to use uLaw SIP)

Add a little, test it.  Add a little more, test again.  You will be  
surprised how quickly you can rebuild the core basics of your Trixbox  
configuration.

Just this morning, I had to direct my Alaska and Hawaii calls to a  
particular provider.  A simple ssh, vi editing for a minute or two,  
and presto a new working configuration.  I'm not sure how easy this  
would be to do with Trixbox.

AstLinux 0.4.3 has been very robust and powerful for my application.
