Hi, We added a new reference system to the AstLinux WiKi:
Jetway NF99FL-525 Dual Core Atom http://doc.astlinux.org/userdoc:board_jetway_nf99fl-525 In addition to the previous reference system: Jetway NF96FL-525 Dual Core Atom http://doc.astlinux.org/userdoc:board_jetway_nf96fl-525 The NF99FL-525 vs NF96FL-525 Pros: 1) 2x Intel PCI-e (82574L) Gb NIC's on motherboard. Use VLAN's for multiple internal interfaces/networks with a switch. 2) Runs cooler than the Jetway '96 board with daughter board ('99 w/o daughter board), and uses slightly less power 20W vs 23W. Most likely the '99 could be run without a fan in some cases. The NF99FL-525 vs NF96FL-525 Cons: 1) Currently there is no hardware watchdog support. Though WDMODULE="softdog" works. The Intel "iTCO_wdt" module does not work with this board and the current AstLinux Linux 2.6.35 kernel does not support the watchdog on the Fintek chip. The Jetway '96 board supports the Intel "iTCO_wdt" module. 2) No legacy IDE interface. In my iperf tests: The '99 will route at Gb line speed (928 Mbps) at 77% idle (via top). The '96 will route at "near" Gb line speed (810 Mbps) at 73% idle (via top). Other users' comments and experiences are always welcomed. Lonnie PS: Disclaimer, in no way is the AstLinux Team guaranteeing the above reference hardware, we simply have tested the hardware with AstLinux and it appears to work as expected. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond. Discussions will include endpoint security, mobile security and the latest in malware threats. http://www.accelacomm.com/jaw/sfrnl04242012/114/50122263/ _______________________________________________ Astlinux-users mailing list Astlinux-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/astlinux-users Donations to support AstLinux are graciously accepted via PayPal to pay...@krisk.org.
