There is some weird thing going on with 5213A vs 5213, i have a 5213 (0x56) and a 5213A (0x59), the first works just fine (25Mbits, same performance as with madwifi), the second (A) refuses to go beyond 24Mbits ! It's weird because they have the same radio (0x36 -> 5112a) :P I'm comparing reset dumps from these two in order to find out what's happening ;~ If it's not in the reset method it'll take some time... Take a look at iperf to see what i mean: 5213A [ 4] local 192.168.254.1 port 5001 connected with 192.168.254.253 port 47054 [ 4] 0.0- 1.0 sec 182 KBytes 1.49 Mbits/sec 6.948 ms 113/ 240 (47%) [ 4] 1.0- 2.0 sec 68.9 KBytes 564 Kbits/sec 17.668 ms 62/ 110 (56%) [ 4] 2.0- 3.0 sec 109 KBytes 894 Kbits/sec 19.027 ms 0/ 76 (0%) [ 4] 3.0- 4.0 sec 106 KBytes 870 Kbits/sec 39.165 ms 0/ 74 (0%) [ 4] 4.0- 5.0 sec 111 KBytes 906 Kbits/sec 23.988 ms 0/ 77 (0%) [ 4] 5.0- 6.0 sec 102 KBytes 835 Kbits/sec 20.731 ms 0/ 71 (0%) [ 4] 6.0- 7.0 sec 109 KBytes 894 Kbits/sec 37.744 ms 0/ 76 (0%) [ 4] 7.0- 8.0 sec 108 KBytes 882 Kbits/sec 25.580 ms 0/ 75 (0%) [ 4] 8.0- 9.0 sec 106 KBytes 870 Kbits/sec 20.655 ms 0/ 74 (0%) [ 4] 9.0-10.0 sec 134 KBytes 1.09 Mbits/sec 13.472 ms 0/ 93 (0%) 5213 [ 4] local 192.168.254.1 port 5001 connected with 192.168.254.253 port 36313 [ 4] 0.0- 1.0 sec 2.98 MBytes 25.0 Mbits/sec 0.117 ms 124/ 2247 (5.5%) [ 4] 1.0- 2.0 sec 3.05 MBytes 25.6 Mbits/sec 0.073 ms 46/ 2222 (2.1%) [ 4] 2.0- 3.0 sec 3.03 MBytes 25.4 Mbits/sec 0.098 ms 125/ 2287 (5.5%) [ 4] 3.0- 4.0 sec 3.04 MBytes 25.5 Mbits/sec 0.091 ms 28/ 2197 (1.3%) [ 4] 4.0- 5.0 sec 3.02 MBytes 25.3 Mbits/sec 0.977 ms 79/ 2231 (3.5%) [ 4] 5.0- 6.0 sec 3.03 MBytes 25.4 Mbits/sec 0.080 ms 97/ 2256 (4.3%) [ 4] 6.0- 7.0 sec 3.01 MBytes 25.2 Mbits/sec 0.114 ms 170/ 2316 (7.3%) [ 4] 7.0- 8.0 sec 2.99 MBytes 25.1 Mbits/sec 0.111 ms 160/ 2296 (7%) [ 4] 8.0- 9.0 sec 3.01 MBytes 25.2 Mbits/sec 0.118 ms 180/ 2327 (7.7%) [ 4] 9.0-10.0 sec 3.02 MBytes 25.3 Mbits/sec 0.082 ms 166/ 2317 (7.2%) -- GPG ID: 0xD21DB2DB As you read this post global entropy rises.
