Patched, compiled and running with it now...

Throughput is still very low, however iwconfig is now reporting I am
connected at 54Mb/s.

Also, the signal strength is very low even though I am only 1m from the
AP.

I also had a kernel panic after I first loaded the driver and started to
xfer a large file, capslock was flashing, but no error in
dmesg/syslog/debug logs.
