Does anyone happen to know of any surveys of what is generally supported? >From my own experience with low-rent hosting I generally haven't had a clue whether or PUT and DELETE are supported or not, it's not been something I'd have looked for. The conjecture that these methods aren't generally supported sounds plausible, but it would be good to have hard facts about the scale of the problem before creating solutions that might erode WebArch.
