I'm Release Manager for Audacity 2.0.5.We're going to change the freeze sequence for Audacity 2.0.5: * October 10: string/GUI freeze -- meaning that nothing in the GUI (including strings) will change before release. Underlying code may change. This means Translators and Manual folks can work with final, frozen versions of the GUI for 2.0.5. * October 15: code/manual freeze -- meaning we're ready to start the Release Candidate 48hr iteration cycle until we agree it's ready to release. On either, if we can get there faster, let's do so, and I will update these lists about any date changes. Thanks! - Vaughan
Hi! First of all, many thanks for this announce.I know that Scientific filters are experimental, but nevertheless they are in the translation catalog. This code snippet from ScienFilter.cpp:
szr3->Add( new wxStaticText(this, wxID_ANY, _("Cutoff:")), wxRIGHT );
Size.SetWidth (50);
mCutoffCtl = new wxTextCtrl (this, ID_CUTOFF, wxT("0.0"),
wxDefaultPosition, Size);
szr3->Add (mCutoffCtl, 0 );szr3->Add( new wxStaticText(this, wxID_ANY, _("Hz Stopband Ripple:")), 0 );
contains a word puzzle ("Hz Stopband Ripple:"). The result can be seen in the picture attached. "Hz" is for "Cutoff" and the rest of the message is a separate label.
It is better to avoid such puzzles to make translations easier. Thanks again for your work and best regards, Yuri
