Indeed i have. I love the **** out of this game! (**** stands for "meat", of course!) Some pointers:

-For those who are familiar with the game, the control scheme is totally different to witt: the left analog stick moves you backwards and forwards, the right analog stick helps you aim throwables (more on those in a minute). You don't use the dpad for movement anymore, you press the stick a little bit forward to walk and all the way forward to run. To tipto you hold l1. The dpad is used for the gamespeak, and you hold L2 to access the alternate gamespeak commands.
Square is use--for doors, levers, wells, grenade machines, elevators, what-have-you. The original game had you press up on the d-pad to enter doors but now you use square. To use an elevator oyu press square to get on and then move up or down on the left analog stick, and press square again to get off.
X is jump; before it was triangle. Trinagle is now used for "bird halo"--in othe r words it shows you your health, which is represented by how many birds are floating around your head. You can't see it, so forget this button exists.
Circle is still shoot if you're a slig but otherwise is only used for tucking-and-rolling while running.
As I said before, x is jump, however by default you jump straight up if you're not moving. There's a setting called sideways hop in controls I highly recommend turning on that lets you jump forward when pressing X without having to be moving first.

To throw stuff, move the right analog stick in a direction and press R1, or just press R1 and he'll drop it where he stands.

The beeps you're hearing are floating mines. When you start out, you need to run all the way to the right, then press up. At this point you are hanging down from the ledge; press up again and Abe will pull himsrelf up to the top. Then walk forward and there will be a lever, press square and it will open the door; then move a little right and go through the door, then go all the way right and go through another door, and then you will have some mines in pits that yyu need to jump over. One final blindy tip: while you're running, you can mash the square button, and if Abe is passing a thing that can be interacted with, Abe will stop and use the thing. It's a great way to try and find stuff when you're not sure what to do,.
