Re: Thank you Apple: my wrist just got a makeover
Yo,
To be honest, I don't know why would I buy three devices which perform nearly the same tasks. You can do on your iPad anything (if not everything) that you are able to do on your iPhone. Also, I'm not really informed about the iPod touch, but i Suspect its function, like iPhone and iPad is to some extent the same. I had an apple iPod around 5 years ago on my hands, that had absolutely nothing to do with iPod touch. It had only five buttons on the screen, and the button to turn it on and off on the left, including the headphones' port. When I turned it on for the first time, as it had no screen, a very well-mannered voice which sounded similar to Alex said, "use itunes to transfer music into this iPod." Of course, without that painful breathing of Alex.
Now, talking about the apple watch, I find it a luxury rather than a necessity. Seriously, giving people the possibility to control their phone without having to take it out of their pocket, ma
y lead to dramatic, severe and gradual universal laziness. As far as I know, the apple watch itself should be connected to an iPhone to perform some tasks, like sending messages on facebook, watching videos on youtube and browsing the internet. Please, correct me if I'm wrong?
Then, I come up with my humble argument, why should I drop my money on something which works quite like a joystick for my iPhone? I can have that extremely little power to move my right hand (usually) to get the iPhone out of that small bloody pocket. Honestly, I would buy it if it offered something new which relates to how the system works, how the screen reader works, how the voices of the TTS sound and so on. That's 400 dollars mate!
Anyway, I would be more than happy to accept it as a gift from someone. But I don't have a wife. I may consider marrying a girl if nobody in the next two years from my family or my friends will come up and gift an apple watch to me.
Let'
s see.
